The Diner Experience

If you know me you know I love to eat out and try new restaurants. So when my brother decided to take me out to 'The Diner' I couldn't wait to see what the food was like.

I had never heard of the restaurant before but I think they have quite a few branches. The one we visited was the Angel Islington branch. It had a nice feel to it, typical American diner theme. But the main thing I was interested in, was the food!

They have quite a varied menu, from burgers to breakfast burritos so I'm sure there's something for everyone. I wanted to try something different so I went with the Mexican burger, filled with chili con carne, cheese and topped with jalapenos. The burger was decent. I wasn't overwhelmed, it could've had more flavour but was still enjoyable. Thankfully the chip portions were massive so that made up for it. All in all I think it's definitely worth a trip to 'The Diner'.

N.B Their pancakes are AMAZING! I couldn't get a picture unfortunately but I would definitely go back just to get some.

The Honest Burger

I've been a bit tired of my usual weekly visits to Nandos or TGI's. So I decided to venture out and try something new. I'd heard a lot of good things about Honest Burgers and I love a good burger a little bit more than your average person (no shame), so I grabbed my friend (an equal burger lover), so we could check it out for ourselves.

Let first start by saying I was not disappointed! Honest Burgers has a real rustic homemade feel to it. It's a cosy environment, small but not so small that you feel you're sitting on top of people.
Now onto the burgers. I ordered the 'Honest Burger'. The burgers taste fresh and delicious and are really filling. And one of my favourite parts of having a burger is having some great tasting chips to go along with it. Again I was not disappointed. The chips are seasoned with a rosemary salt, completely original (to my knowledge) and really adds an extra something.
On the whole, the meal was delicious and really affordable, so if you're looking for a new restaurant to visit I would highly recommend this one!
